Hen House buys Cinders Bridal

We are pleased to announce that Bob and Ceri have bought Cinders Bridal. From now on, the business will be known as Hen House Brides.

Ceri has been working in the wedding business for 30 years. She has been sewing all the alterations for Cinders over the last 6 years and so knows all about the business. We are also pleased to say that Karen will be continuing to manage the shop for us.

We look forward to meeting all the future new brides.

Partners Bob Gilmore and Ceri Brooks rented the 17th century John Kent House in the Market Place to live in but last month opened a shop in a downstairs room.

Ms Brooks has been a self-employed bespoke seamstress in the Devizes area for 20 years and decided it was time to open a shop.

Her business Hen House sells women's and children’s clothes, designed and made by her on the premises. It also sells accessories including jewellery, knitwear and handbags.

The couple also sells women’s and gent’s toiletries by D.R. Harris of London.
